At last night’s Borough Council meeting the Transport Department of the Public Works Department notified that as a result of the Motor Lorry Regulations Amendment No. I, provision had been made for the payment of licensee fees in respect to heavy vehicles by quarterly amounts, the license to expire at the end of curb quarter paid for. The attention of the Council was also drawn to the regulation governing vehicles of .'1 nr more axles which were allowed 10 load to a gross weight of 15 tons on firstclass roads. Mention was also made of axle loads for the protection of the roads.
