THREE-ROOMED COTTAGE DESTROYED.

WOMAN AND CHILD HAVE NARROW ESCAPE. Awakened bv the coughing of her infant child, Airs. R. W. Davey, of Shannon Road, Eoxton, just had time to gather up the baby and seize a few elolltes in her smokefilled residence last, evening and escape from the building as it burst into (lames.
