Captain L. I loves, ARC., of the Marine. Department is again <>n a visit lo Fusion in connection with his research work relative lo the Whitehall industry. The eggs located on l lie various spawning beds some time ago have now hatched out and the young whitebait have been traced going down the river to the sea. The Captain will endeavour to keep in touch with them after they leave the Maimwatu Rvier, a dillVcult task.
