The usual monthly meeting oi Lite Foxton Luucii Club was lieid in Whyte’s Hotel to-day. The chaii was oeeupied by Rev. Walton and the speaker was Mr. 1). Morrison, manager oil Ike btale I'ire Oliice, i‘aliuersLon .North. Mr. Morrison took lor bis subject "lire Loss and Lire insurance," on wliick he gave an interesting address, particulars oi which will be published in our next issue. At the conclusion oi his address Mr. Morrison was accorded a vote oi thanks on the motion oi Messrs !•'. A. Masou and G. F. Smith. Those present at the meeting were Messrs it. Sorbie, J. M. Horublow, H. Christie, M. E. Ferreau, W. Trueman, C. M. Hewlett, iv. J. Thompson, H. E. CarbetL, J. Aitehison, F. A. Mason, (i. F. Smith, k. Mux-ray and the secretary (Mr. l. Corn).
