FIRE BRIGADE BILLIARD TOURNAMENT.
* FOXTON RETAINS COLEY SHIELD. On Thursday evening a billiard tournament was held in the local Eire Brigade Station for tin* Coley Shield when the Foxton team was successful in retaining possession of Iho trophy by warding off a challenge from Levin Brigade. The following are the scores, Foxton players being mentioned first: — Huff 10i> (best breaks, 13, 15, 11) defeated Runnnel) 85 (best breaks Ift ,0, 21): Robinson 101 (best breaks 21, 11, 17) defeated Sutherland 53 (best breaks ft, 7, 12); Broad (IS (best breaks 7, ft, 15) lost to Ferris 111) (best breaks LI, LL 27). Total points: I’oxlon 271, Levin 248.
Fireman E. Robinson retained the Levy Ferns for the best break of the evening in the winning team. AI the conclusion of the game the visitors were entertained In supper.
