I TOWN HALL. Theatre-goers of Foxton have a rare treat in store with the coming of “Making the Grade,’’ to be shown at the Town Hall on Saturday. This picture is rated as one of the best laugh pictures of the year. It is based on a George Ado story of the same title and features in the loading roles Lois Moran and Edmund Lowe. It is a product of Fox Films. Directed by Alfred E. Green, who has made several Ade stories into films, “Making the Grade” is a romance constantly punctuated by laughs. The story deals with the efforts of a little girl who operates a tea room to reform an insufferable young snob of great wealth. One situation follows another, plunging the youngpair into all sorts of difficulties. With Comedy, News and Variety. Usual prices. Wjhen a professional wrestler makes a public boast that lie can beat any boxer if they are matched in a light in which each contestant would use his own methods of defence, some determined pugilist is bound to take up the challenge, and particularly when it can he arranged to stage the match at a charity fair hold at the home of the most interesting girl in the world. Such is the opening sequence of a high-ly-entertaining film “The Body Ihincli,” screening at the Town Hall on Monday.
