FOXTON SURF AND LIFE SAVING CLUB.
DIODE ST RATION AT BEACH. On Sunday the Eoxlon Surf: and Life Saving Clu'h gave demonstrations at the beach which were witnessed hy a large number of local ami district residents. In the morning land drill was gone through in front of the cottages when the reel was also run out and at 2.30 o’clock in the afternoon a demonstration was given in the surf on the ocean beach which was also witnessed by a large number of interested spectators. Air. A. Alsop, on behalf of the Chib look up a collection which was liberally responded to and Inter in the afternoon he thanked those present for their support and eneouriigoment. The teams which took part in the demonstrations were as follows: — A learn: —Captain, F. Burns; patient, \Y. Hussey; support, G. Shaw; bellman, R. Reay; Ist linesman, B. Adams; 2nd linesman, E. Morgan; 3rd linesman, L. Ring; reel mail, J. Robertson. •11 team: —Captain, P. Burns; patient, N. Wislmrt; support, ,J. Barra tt; heltman, AT. Baird; Ist linesman, A. Vertongen; 2nd linesman, L. Carter; 3rd linesman, B. Adams, reelman, B. Mellon.
