JDr. J. Gibb, who has been visiting Poxton, over the week end, will lecture in Palmerston North this evening. Mr. D. McCormae, of Wellington, is at present on holiday in Poxton. .Mr, 11. H. jLlornblow, of Nelson, is at present on a holiday visit to Poxton and is staying with Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Barber, of Motuiti. Archbishop Bed wood, the oldest living human Catholic prelate in the world, will celebrate his ninety-lirst birthday to-day. He will not mark the event with any special function, although he will preside at a private dinner to celebrate the occasion. The Bev. 0. 13. W. ISoton, Vicar of Holy Trinity Church, Otahuhu, collapsed while conducting a service in the Panmure Anglican Church on Sunday evening. He was admitted to a private hospital, where his condition is fairly serious.
