I A largely attended meeting of I Taumarunni farmers on Saturday i night, convened to discuss the menI ace of deer, passed the following resolution: —“That this representative meeting of farmers of the Taumarnnui district, request the Department of Internal Aifairs to make strong representations to the conference of organisations interested in the control of deer in New Zealand, to he held on lltli April, [ concerning the serious position that
as arisen in this district hy the destruction of turnip crops and pastures, due to the alarming in--rease in the herd in the district.”
