PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

The celebrations in connection with the eighty-fifth anniversary of the local Presbyterian Church continue to be well attended. On Sunday last, harvest thanksgiving services were held. The preacher for the day was the Rev. W. H. Nicholas. To-morrow afternoon at the .Manse, Lady’s Mile, a garden party and sale of goods mill be held. Afternoon tea will be provided and a programme of musical and vocal items will be submitted. Admission will he one shilling. Next Sunday the church services will he conducted hy the Rev. Dr. Gibb, of Wellington.
