TOWIN' HALL. I’icluregoers will lie entertained well at the Town Hall to-morrow nielli when “Old Ironsides,” a 12i eel sea feature will head t lie programme. The east of some hundreds includes such stars as Wallace Beery, George Bancroft, Charles Knrrell, .Mitchell Lewis, Esther Kfilstn.ii and Guy Oliver. The story: In a little hamlet outside the town id' Salem a hoy feels the wanderlust and the call of the sea. On the wharves of Salem lie meets the bosun of the “Esther” and sails with her to the Mediterranean port, feeling sure that there are meu-o'-vvarsmen out to (dear I lie seas of pirates. The hoy soon learns much about the boal and incidentally falls in love with the Captain’s daughter. Unfortunately, the captain, believing the warhips have cleared the seas, sails foolhardily straight into a fog and I lie pirates capture the “Est her” ami all hands, keeping the girl as a pri/.e for the Sultan. When the hoy, the conk, the bosun and the gunner who have been sent in a biineh to work in the quarries, are giving up in despair they espy a e.uil on the horizon and the gunner recognises it as that of “Old lron--ides,” one of the men-o’-warsnum, which picks them up, and after telling their story of the pirates’ capture of “The Esther” the gallant . ommander decides to sail into the pirate lair and engage their ships. In one of the most thrilling sea lights the pirates are routed and the "Esther” sails on her voyage once again and the boy and the girl are happy in their love. Usual prices. “The lioreign -Legion,” a special attraction adapted from I. A. R. Wylies’ “The Red Mirage,” will be the headliner on Saturday. The doings of that romantic corps is „hown in a faithful and entertaining manner.
