ROAD SIGNS. Mr. R. X. Speirs reported that during the month Air. Air. McKenzie had intimated that the Association was only too willing to attend to any such matters advanced by the Chamber.
Air. D. Christie said that in front of the Levin Post Office there was a notice board directing traffic to Napier via Shannon. Alost people who had travelled over the Shannon load and the highway via Foxton preferred the latter anil he thought that the Association should be asked to erect a notice directing traffic to Napier via the Foxton route.
The chairman said that the Shannon route was the more direct route and the linger post had been erected accordingly. The Foxton route although a little longer was certainly the best one and was a flat run all the way, whereas the other road was hilly.
It was decided to write to the Manawatu Automobile Association, asking thorn to erect an additional sign showing the route via Foxton and also to include this route in the next publication of the road guide if not already mentioned. AN APPRECIATION.

Christie, G. F. Smith and I. Corn was set up to go into the matter and arrange a suitable date. ('(IMMUNITY LIGHTING.
The question of the adoption in Buxton of community lighting was discussed, members considering this would he the means of making the town brighter while it- would also he a good advertising scheme for business people.
