HECTOR GRAY MARRIES.
H. Gray, the well-known jockey, was married in Wellington on Wednesday to Mrs. Hay, daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. E. Patterson, well-known in the racing world during his time as the owner of that good horse 'Solution. The family’s present to Gray was the late Mr. Patterson’s gold chronometer, a valuable timepiece, which Gray will find useful in his profession. Mr. and Mrs. Gray left for Auckland by the Limited Express, and will join the Ulimaroa there en route to Sydney. Gray has received a cable mesage from W. Booth, one of Sydney’s leading trainers', who has 28 horses in
work, stating that there seems a reasonably good chance of Gray receiving bis riding ticket theie. Booth 'has been in communication with Gray ‘for sonic time, and a message was the outcome of the overtures originally made. If Gray is unable to obtain a riding license over there he will return to New Zealand.
