VALEDICTORY.
AHSS STEVENSON EAREYVEELED.
Members of the Poxton Tennis Club spent a very pleasant social evening at the residence of Mr- and Airs. P. Woods on Saturday evening when a farewell was tendered to Alias AL Stevenson, one of the Club members who has now taken up her residence in Wellington. Dancing, cards and games were indulged in and after supper Air. L. C . Bryant (President) asked Miss Stevenson to accept a' toilet set on behalf of the Club members and in doing so referred to the loss the Club had sustained by Aliss Stevenson s removal from Poxton, both with regard to the playing and administrative side of affairs. Por many years Aliss Stevenson had i.eeu top lady player and. an energetic member of committee. However, he extended to her the dub's best wishes for the future and every success in her new position. Air. (Bryant also took the opportunity of thanking ALr. and Airs. Woods for allowing the Club the use of their residence in which to hold the evening. Musical were theu accorded Aliss StevensoiT" who suitably acknowledged the gift and good wishes exteuded to her.
