HERRINGTON GOLF CLUB.
MEETING OF LAIDY MEMBERS
The annual meeting of the lady members of the Herrington Golf Club was held on Thursday afternoon. There were present: Miss B. Robinson (captain), Mesdames Newton, Stanley, Moore and Misses Bowo, Allan and Barber. Apologies l'or absence were received from Mesdames Bergin, P. Easton, Austin, Mason, A\ r . Smith, and Misses AV'oods, L. Robinson, Neylon, Mimntfort and Delanv.
The captain's report as follows was read: —“The 1929 season opened on March 23rd with a good attendance of local members and some visitors from Levin and Shannon Clubs, and a Canadian foursome was played. During the season, friendly matches were played with Bulls, Shannon and Levin teams. The services of a coach, Mr. Lambic, were engaged for a week early in the season and again later on. Members made full use of his time, and benefited from the instruction. Four different competitions were held which stimulated interest until the closing of the ■ links earlv in October.”
The following officers were elected for the coming year:— Captain, Miss B. Robinson: committee, Mesdames Newton, Easton, and Trueman; secretary, Mrs, Moore.
Arrangements for tea-days and opening day were discussed. A vote of thanks to the Racing Club for the use of their room closed the meeting.
