COMING OF AGE PARTY
A pleasant social function took place at the residence of Airs. J. S. Hornldow, Grey Street, Palmerston North, on Saturday evening when mi (“veiling was held to celebrate the coming of age of Aliss Kathleen, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Hornblow, of Foxton, who recently accepted a position in the bacteriological laboratory of the Palmerston North Hospital. Cards and dancing were indulged in, interspersed with vocal and instrumental items contributed by AG's. E. .McDonald (Palmerston X.), Airs. 0. Doel ( Palmerston N.), Airs. C. At. (’conquest (Shannon), .Miss E. AHKenzio-Forbes (Palmerston X.), Miss Hornblow and Afessrs .J. K. Hornblow (Foxton) and ('. AI. CVompiest (Shannon). The toast of the guest of the evening was proposed by Air. J. A. Colquhonn and ALis.s Hornblow presented with n miniature gold key, all joining in singing “For She’s a •tolly Good Fellow.” A very dainty supper was handed round and the evening concluded with the singing ot “Aaid Lang Syne.”
