ALL SAINTS’ CHILDREN’S HOME.

The matron thanks the following for their kindness during the month i f February:—

High School picnic committee, sugar, cakes, pears and sweets; Rev. W. 11. All Saints’ Church held their Harvest Thanksgiving on Sunday last and the parishioners brought gifts in quantity and quality which were all brought down to the children’s home at the beach. Some of the produce was 751bs. flour, eggs, honey, carrots, turnips, onions, cabbages, beetroot, parsnips, pumpkin, marrows, potatoes, apples, pears, tomatoes, jam and pickles. The matron desires to thank the donors very much as such presents are a great asset to the children’s health.

GTET AFTERNOON FOR ALL SAINTS’ HOME.

On Wednesday afternoon last, the matron was invited to a social afternoon held at the home of Mrs. A. T. Nieols, of Oroua Downs. The hi dies of Oroua Downs came along and brought gifts of jam so that the mairon! was able to bring away with her 1381hs. of jam. A pleasant afternoon was spent, two competitions being won by Mrs. Conlan snr., and Mrs. Bain. The hostess with her usual willing kindness served* afternoon tea and the ladies left with empty baskets, hut groa( thanks from the matron.
