ACCIDENT TO MR. J. LINKLATER, M.P.

STRUCK BY HAY STACKER. ARM.

Ait accident fortunately not tended by any very serious results, betel the member for Manawatu, Mr. d. Liuklater, last evening. Ho was engaged in assisting his men in the hay paddock in stacking operations when the handle of the stacker gave way and he was struck on the head by the stacker arm. A nasty gash was indicted in his forehead and on medical examination it was found necessary to insert stitches in the wound. Mi - . Linklater was to have opened the Levin Horticultural Society’s exhibition this afternoon, but was unable to do so owing to the mishap.

It will be a day or so before he will be about again.
