MEETING OF MANAWATU ECU! PRODUCERS’ ASSOCIATION.
The .Manawaiii Egg Producers' Association, formed a short time ago to affiliate with the New Zealand poultry Association for the bcnelil of all poultry keepers, in the Manawatu district, met at Foxton last Friday evening. Acting on the advice of Mr. (I. S. Bates, president of the New Zealand Poultry Association, Mr. F. C. Ivaikcs had called this, the second meeting, in order to make greater progress. The meeting was representative of poultrykeepers in the Foxton, Mart on and Palmerston North districts. Mr. F. C. R a ikes was ejected president and Mr. A. A. Strawbridge (Marlon) vice-president, with a committee including Mr. A. R. Bailey, Mr. A. Thomson and the acting-sec rotary, Mr. .1. 11. Kissling.
A discussion of the forthcoming New Zealand Poultry Association annual conference at Dunedin occupied most of the evening. It was decided to ask Mr. J. FI. Kissling to endeavour to be present at the conference as an official delegate. The annual subscription lias been fixed at Si/-, half of which goes to ihe New Zealand Poultry Association. As it is essential to obtain a large membership, the executive considered it wise to keep the subscription as low as possible. Mr. -t. 11. Kissling is acting honorary secretary and anyone requiring particulars of the association should got in touch with him at Massey College.
