PROSPECT OF TIMBER SHIPMENTS FOR FOXTON.

At yesterday's meeting of the Foxton Harbour Board the secretary roporled that since last meeting lie had received a oommunical ion relative to the possibility of timber shipments through the local port. He had written the Wellington Harbour Board for data concerning such shipments as timber had not previously been brought into this district through the local port. 'The secretary intimated that there was every possibility of such cargoes coining to hand at an early date. He would, however, be able to report fully on (he matter at the next meeting.
