ALLEGED THEFT BY BANK CLERK.

Dunedin, February 26

John Albert Simes, aged about ID, employed as a clerk by the Hank of New Zealand at Alexandra, hils this .morning charged before Justices of the Peace with the theft of £s<)<) from the hank. The money was missed on Monday morning, and it is alleged that accused admitted the theft to Constable Sorrell and Detective Nuttall. He took Hie detective to his bedroom and handed over the money. Accused was remanded to appear at Alexandra on March 0, bail being allowed in self, £2OO, and one suretv of £2OO.
