BOWLING.
On Thursday evening very enjoyable games were played by electric light on the Shannon green between four rinks from Boston and Shannon rinks. Though the evening- was dull, rain held off till near the finish, when a couple of light showers fell. The games were keenly contested, both clubs securing two wins each. Shannon winning on the aggregate by S 7 points to 72. 'Following are the scores, Shannon rinks being mentioned first:—

The Levin Club has sent notifieai -<>n to the effect that it is holding a train day on Saturday, March Ist, and invites two rinks from Foxton to take part.
