CONSTABLE FOUND SHOT.

Ashburton, February 18. Constable Brown, who a month ago was transferred from Wellington to take charge of the 'Rakaia Police Station, has been admitted to hospital suffering from severe wounds in the head. He was found lying on the floor unconscious with a revolver nearby and died the next day.
