FIRE BRIGADE BILLIARD TOURNAMENT.
FOXTON DEFEATS PALMERSTON NORTH.
The Foxioii Eire Brigade (holders of the 'Coley Shield) successfully warded off a challenge from the Palmerston North Brigade on Saturday evening. Although the local men did not strike their usual form they, nevertheless succeeded in defeating' their opponents by a margin of 108 points. Play resulted as follows: Fireman X. Huff 10(i, defeated Fireman MieSweney 90.

Fireman E. Robinson won the Levy Ferns for tiie besl break pm up by any member of the winning team. His break was 21. At the conclusion of the tournament the visitors were entertained to supper by the local brigade, when the Mayor (Mr. At. Ti. Perreati), who presided, extended
a welcome to them. Fireman Buti her returned thanks on behalf of the visitors >for the hospitality extended to them.
