Application was made in the Palmerston North Supreme (Court on Saturday to Air. Justice Ostler for the discharge in bankruptcy of James Phillip (ieorge Allerby, sli-aremilker, of 'Foxton. Mr. Cooke, Crown solicitor, said that it had been suggested that bankrupt had tiled to escape an action for £<)()() damages. The Deputy Official Assignee had proposed that tiie granting of the discharge be deferred. Mr. Ouglov, for bankrupt, slated Ilia I that was two years ago and, so far as lie knew proceedings had never been commenced. His Honour granted the discharge. staling that In 1 saw no reason for refusing the motion.
