FOXTON FOOTBALL CLUB.
* ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meetimr of the Foxton Rugby Football CHub was held in the Town Hall supper-room last evening. There was a good attendance. Mr. D. Christie was voted to tlie chair. *• The chairman apologised for the absence of the president who had left the district. He expressed pleasure at seeing such a good number present which augured well for the coming season. An apology for absence was received from Air. Fred. Robinson who also enclosed a donation.
The balance-sheet disclosed total receipts £25 0/11 (which included a credit balance of £7 4/8 from the previous year), and expenditure £23 3/7, leaving a credit balance of £1 17/3. The club assets totalled £7 17/3 and the liabilities £0 5/(reiit of practice shed). The chairman in referring to the balance-sheet said the club had gone hack financially during the past year. Two years ago the club had a credit balance of £BO. Last, year the public was not called upon Lor anything- by way o£ special efforts. Something, however, would have to he done this year and steps should lie taken to wipe off the outstanding rent owing on the practice shed. He suggested a shop day in this connection. The club last: year were saved expense in delegates travelling expenses as one of the delegates had placed his car at the club’s disposal for this purpose. He referred to the improvements effected in Easton Park and in this connection the club’s thanks wore due to Messrs F, Robinson and C. Procter and others. One representative matcli, Bush v. Horn when ua, was played locally last year and prior to the playing of the fixtures two senior matches had been played in aid of the Plunket Society funds. The club’s thanks were due to the Borough Council for the vise of the baths cubicles for dressing purposes. Both the senior and .junior teams lmd been runners-up in the championship fixtures and the seniors lutd annexed the McLennan Cup. The chairman in concluding his remarks wjished the club success during the coming season. The bal-ance-sheet was adopted. ELECTION OF OFFICERS.
The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron: Air. J. Link later, ALP.; president: Air. Fred. Robinson; vice-presidents: ATessrs Francis Robinson, J. K. Ilornblow, and H. Hutchins; committee: Messrs D. Christie, O. Procter, A. and li. Wills, G. Alexander, J. Newton, W. Neville, L. McCarthy, and \Y. Broad; lion, secretary: Mr.. Jv. Ilirini; auditor: Air. J. Christie; delegates t o Union: Messrs F. Robinson, L. McCarthy, D. Christie and A. Walls; club referees, Ales - srs W Neville and H. Taylor. It was decided to enter senior, junior and thirds for competitions. The annual subscriptions were fixed at 5/- for senior and junior and 2/(> for thirds. The president and secretary were authorised to operate on the bank account.
It was decided to arrange for the'same grounds ns last year and that the committee arrange re practice shed. The chairman exhibited a handsome medal ivlijch had been donated by Mr. H. Bradcock for the most improved during the season. A hearty i r ote of thanks Avas accorded Mr. Bradcock and it was left to the committee to decide the grade to which the trophy Avould be alloted. A vote of thanks to the chair concluded the meeting. WANDERERS’ CLUB. Mr. IT. Jacob presided over the annual general meeting of the Wanderers’ Football Club at Levin on Thursday.
The balance-sheet showed that in the total receipts of £sl 14/2 the main sources of revenue were: Donations, £lO 7/-; shop day, £l7 10/11; subscriptions, £0 10/-; dance, £0 .3/-. The main items in expenditure were jerseys, £7 9/2; H.R.DiC., £9; presentations, £5; electric light, £4 11/8. On the year’s working a credit balance of £5 4/4 was shown.

ata, R. Sinclair. The subscription was fixed at 5/tbr seniors and junior, and 2/6 for third grade players. In both cases there is an additional fee of 2/6 for insurance.
It Avas resolved to bring forward as a recommendation to the annual meeting of H.R.D.C. that games commence at 2.30 p.m. instead of 3 p.m.
