SHIELD,
Yesterday afternoon the final round of the Triangular Shield congest was played on the local green, and resulted in Foxton (last season's winners) retaining that trophy by a margin of two points from Levin, Shannon being well down the figures.

However, Thomson’s rink accumulated a good lead agaiinst their Shannon opponents, and Nye and Woods kept the two Levin teams well in baud, which resulted in Foxtail's aggregate increasing steadily, until towards the end of play the figures seemed pretty certain to finish in favour of the home club, and finally ran out as follows: — Foxton 17.8, Levin 170, Shannon 130.
The details of the rinks are: — Hinds, Howe, Heppner, Nye (s) 23; Levin: Cameron, Sherwood, Ilawke, Clements (s) 10.
