Miss E. Barber is at present pending a holiday in Nelson.
.Mr. and Airs. R. Owen returned from a holiday iu the youth Island dinting the week end.
Miss H. Holst returned to Wanganui yesterday after spending a. holiday in Foxton.
Mi ss Marehant took up her duties as relieving teacher at the local District High School yesterday. Mr. D. li. Ogilyy, who has been indisposed for some lime returned to work yesterday.
The friends of Air. \Y. Wilson will be pleased to learn that lie has been discharged from the Palmerston North Hospital.
In the recent Public Service Entrance examination Donald <Chrystall 2(i9,. Maurice (1. Baird 94<j, Alphonso Martin 98S, Hope Thynne 1138, were amongst the successful candidates. The numbers opposite the names indicate the order of merit in the whole of the Dominion.
Miss At. Hunt, daughter of Mr. and Airs. T. W. Hunt, of Johnston Street, intends entering the Palmerston North Hospital as a Probationer on the Nursing Staff at the end of this month. For the pasttwelve 'months Aliss Hun! has been assisting in the laboratory of the 'list it ulioii.
