VISIT BY TERRACE END RINKS,

Yesterday afternoon the Foxton green presented a very animated appearance, on the occasion of a visit by three rinks from Terrace End Club.

Although the green was in excellent. playing order a high wind made play very uncertain, but nevertheless the visitors expressed themselves as having spent an enjoyable afternoon.

It was decided to play two games of fifteen heads. At the conelu-.-uon, both (dubs had won three games each, but on the aggregate Foxton was in the lead, the figures being Foxton 03 —Terrace End 74. The details are as follows:

A. J. Smith, Follas, Hine, Snell (s) 10; Parkin, .Hamer, Huntley, Nye (s) 10. Roay, Newth, Walker, Thomson (s) 19; Afachan, Toogood, Holland, Davidson (s) 11. Hinds, Warwick, (Christie, Woods (s) 27; Ashton, Alackinnon, Collier, Wart (s) 8. Second round:—

Maehan, Toogood, Holland, Davidson (s) 14; Hinds, Warwick, Woods, Christie (s) 10. Smith, Follas, Hine, Snell (s) 14; Roay, Newth, Thomson, Walker (s) 13.

Parkin, Hamer, Huntley, Nye (s) 14; Ashton, Afaekinnon, Collier, Wart (s) 11.

At the conclusion of play, Mr. Daviidson, on behalf of the visitors, thanked the local club for the pleasant time spent, and expressed the hope that Foxton bow'ors would take early opportunity of returning the visit. Air. J. M. Thomson (president), m acknowledging the thanks, intimated that a visit would be made to Terrace End Club early in February. Yesterday afternoon a game in lhe Thomson Trophies competition was played, Easton and Howe (s) heating Anderson and Alaltar (s). Dn Wednesday of next week, weather permitting, the final round of the Triangular Shield contest will be played on the local green.
