SALVATION ARMY
LEGAL DISPUTE ENDED.
The following cablegram from Commissioner Mapp, the chief of the staff, has been received at the national headquartors of the Salvation Army:— ‘With the greatest possible relief and thankfulness to God we arc able to record the termination of all legal questions that have been such anxiety to us for many months past. All these things were finally settled by the judgment of Mr. Justice Clauson, delivered in the fOhancery Court, on January 21. The judgment of the Court was very clear and simple, and the effect of it is to establish the validity of the 1004 deed and the validity of General Higgins’s appointment as general, and to order the executors of the late General William Bramwell Booth to transfer to the general, upon the trusts of the Army and for the purposes of the Army all the property and funds that became vested in them ns executors of the late general. All friends and supporters of the Army will rejoice that those matters are now settled, and that- we airc thus able to concentrate our undivided energies upon the continuance of our God-given work.”
