PERSONAL.
AD. S. Read, of Wellington, who has been spending a holiday in Poxton, returned home to-dav. Mr. J. French, of the local P. and T. staff is at present absent on annual leave.
-Mrs. 1. R.oss, who underwent a minor operation in the Palmerston N. Hospital last week, returned to Poxton on Tuesday. Air. 11. Larson, of Wellington, is paying a visit to his father, Captain C. Larsen, of Manawatn Heads. Captain Larsen is now reported to he making good progress towards recovery from his serious illness.
The (Prime Minister (Rt. Hon. Sir Joseph Ward) arrived at Rotorua. yesterday by the mid-day train. Sir Joseph stood the journey from Wellington very well, sleeping- throughout the trip.
Rev. and Airs. W. H. Nicholas returned to Poxton on Tuesday after spending a holiday at Turakina. Rev. and Airs. Catherwood, who have been occupying the local manse during Air. and Airs. Nicholas’ absence returned to Turakina the same day.
