DECEMBER WORKING. The follow,ill” report was submitted to .Monday’s Borough Council meeting : The amount of gas manulactured during the month of December was 360,800 ft., which with the amount in the holder on December Ist 9,(>()()ft. made a total of 370,400 ft. During the mouth 276,800 ft. was used ibv consumers, 21,000 ft. at the works and there was 16,000 ft. in the holder on December 31st, making <a total of 314,400 ft. accounted for and leaving 50,000 ft. representing 15.11 per cent, unaccounted for. Twenty-nine tons 13cwt. of coal were carbonised, yielding 12.108 c.lt. of gas to the ton and producing 7 tons of coke. The receipts for the month totalled £llß 1.4/11 and were made up as follows: —Gas sales (lighting) £2O 6/11, heat and power £IOB 10/5, coke sales £l4 6/9, tar sales £2 12/-, services and fittings £1 18/4, miscellaneous £1 0/6.The expenditure for the month totalled £193 3/1 and was made up as follows:—Coal £B3 5/4, salaries and wages £4O 1-1/-, services and fittings 0/3, tools 11/-, cartage and freight £4 .1.7/2, working expenses 2/1, Interest and Sinking Fund £O3 7/3.
