Following the posting of The public indices the 58 wanted Alau Samoans refused to meet the Administrator .to-day, but sent a letter holding out certain reasons for absence. The Alau has entirely vacated the Faleata and Vaimauga districts as required bv assembling at Leauva and Solesolo. No Alau uniforms have been seen in Apia to-day. 'The position is quiet.
