OBITUARY.
JOHN CU'MMERiFTELD, AGED 72 YEAR'S.
The dentil occurred in the Palmerston North Hospital yesterday of one of Foxlon’s oldest residents in the person of Mr. John Cummertiold, aged 72 years. .Deceased at the time of liis admission to the hospital was spending a holiday with his sister in Feilding, where he had been for the past two months, but prior to that ho had resided with his nephew, Mr. Charles Cnnnnertield, of Avenue Road, Fox ton. He was well known loeall,y, having been born here and educated at the local school. For a great many years the late Mr. Cummerfield was employed by Messrs Robinson Bros, as shepherd and right up to a few months ago had been working on their Himatangi farm. He never married and led a retiring life. Mesdamos H. J. Booth and ,T. TT. Taylor (Feilding) are sisters of deceased, and Messrs Edward (Apiti) and Joseph Cmnuierfield (Foxton) are brothers of deceased. The funeral will leave the residence-of Mr. Charles Cnmmerfield, Avenue Road, at 2 pan. to-morrow fofr the Foxton Cemetery.
