Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Hornblow left to-day for Pieton. Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Smith intend motoring to Hamilton during the holidavs.
M]r. and Mrs. W. Signall, of Wellington, are spending the Christmas holidays in Fox ton.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Locke, of Auckland, are at present on holiday in Foxton, as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. F. Harris, of Union Street. Mrs. F. Turner, of Wellington, is spending the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Parkin, of Johnston Street. Mr. and Mrs. iC. M. Hewett leave hv ear for Wellington this afternoon where they intend to spend the holidays.
Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Cowley and Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Potts intend spending the holidays motoring and camping in the Hawke’s Bay district.
The friends of Miss E. Owen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Owen, of Foxton, will he pleased to learn that she was successful in passing her final State Nursing examination at the Wellington Public Hospital last week.
The death occurred at Dunedin on Saturday night of Dr. Irwin Hunter, aged 60. The date Dr. Him Mr is survived toy a widow and one daughter and two (brothers, Professor Hunter, of Wellington, and Mr. Allan Hunter, of Sydney. His mother, who still survives, resides in Roslyn, Dunedin.
