FOXTON SWIMMING CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting' of the Foxton Swimming: Club was Feld in the Town Hall Supper-room on Thursday evening, presided over by Mr. H. Hutchins (president). There was a fair attendance of members. Th<£ annual report and balancesheet (previously published) were read and adopted. The President in moving the adoption of the report and balancesheet said that after a successful meeting last year the Club had fallen flat and it was with some difficulty that they had been able to get an attendance at the annual meeting. They had been willing helpers at all times.

Mr. D. Christie seconded the moton and said it was a-great pity people of to-day seemed to prefer “canned” music and entertainment to such an extent that it was difficult to get them to take an interest in good .healthy amusement. He expressed the hope that the Club would receive a revival of interest, this season. ELECTION OF OFFICERS.
