CHRISTMAS ANID NEW YEAR GREETINGS BY CABLE OR RADIO AT REDUCED RATES.

Cable messages conveying Christmas and New Year greetings, addressed to any place in Australia, Great Britain, Northern Ire.land, Canada, United States and a number of otheir countries, will be accepted at specially reduced rates from the 15th December to the sth January inclusive. The earlier such messages are lodged the more likely they are to be delivered by Christmas Day or New Year's Day as the ease may ibe. The minimum, charge to Australia will be 1/6 for a message up to ten words and 2d for every word in excess of ten. The charge on messages to Great Britain and Northern Ireland will be 4/- for ten words and 5d for each additional word. To Canada, via Pacific, the rate will be 3:|d per word with a minimum charge of 3/3 for reduced rates on messages via Eastern to Canada or othefr British possessions, to 'China and Japan, or via either route to the United States, apply at telegraph office.-
