BREAKING AND ENTERING.
ARMED AND MASKED YOUTHS OAUGHT ON PREMISES.
Christchurch, Last Night
**’ In the Magistrate’s Court, James Wilfred Gray 19, and Charles Robert Gray, 17, were jointly charged with breaking and entering a shop in Manchester Street with intent to commit a crime. Charles Gray was further charged with being found with a 14 calibre rifle in his possession with intent to commit a crime.
The police stated that the accused were caught on the premises mentioned at 'about 2 o’clock this morning. They were in possession of masks and one had a rifle," the barrel of which had been sawn off short. /
The accused were remanded to January 7. Bail was not applied for.
