FOXTON SILVER BAND.

MR, R. T. BETTY APPOINTED CONDUCTOR. 1

At a meeting .of all interested in the welfare of the Foxton Silver Band on Tuesday evening, presided over by the Mayor (Mr. M. E. Perreau), Mr. R. T. Betty was unanimously elected conductor. Mr. Wilfred Harris was elected hon. secretary vice Mr. Scott resigned. Mr 1 . J. (folder, ‘ax-bandmaster signified his willingness to render assistance. A. ’number of young men joined up and it is hoped that the band will soon be on a good footing.
