BOROUGH HEALTH.
INSPEOTOR’iS QUARTERLY REPORT. At last night’s Borough Council meeting the Health Officer (Mr. J. Huggins) submitted the following report relative to the health of the borough: — “During the quarter ended October 31st there was only one case of infectious disease investigated, that being .a case of pulmonary TAB. Sanitation inspections were carried out as follows : To habitations, 19 j requisitions served, 2; to foodsellers’ premises, 5; requisitions served, 1. Plumbing and drainage inspections totalled 5; no requisitions .being sieved. Three milk samples were tested but no action was necessalry. In addition to routine matters, Mr. Huggins*reported that a series c£ water samples were taken from the Borough supply and darefully the Borough supply and carefully examined and that the latest report in this connection was satisfactory. He also reported that Dr. Ritchie, Medical Officer of the Health Department, Wellington, visited Foxton in October. In connection with the water supply the Government analysis received!tin connection (with the samples sent down to Wellington for testing was submitted which reported the samples to be very satisfactory.
