ANNOYING MISSIVES LEAD TO COURT CASE. Auckland, December 5. Two very Avell-known brothers, Campbell and Hallyburton Johnstone, Avere principals in the Police. Court to-day when Campbell Johnstone proceeded against bis brother and asked the Magistrate to order him to find sureties to keep the peace. Campbell alleged that his hrqthetr had, Avithin the past six months, at- Avondale, exhibited offensive writings on the envelopes of letters addressed to him, to the care of various local bodies of which lie Avas a member. The envelopes were addressed to him as folloAvs: —Campbell Johnstone, the man who pleads the Statute of Limitations c/o Auckland Harbour Board, c/o Raglan Cbunty Council; and c/o Waikato Hospital Board. Complainant; declared that such conduct on the defendant’s part Avas likely to cause further annoyance and perhaps,a breach of the peace, as Campbell is actually a member of the local bodies referred to.

A'fter submissions by the respective counsels for the parties Hallvburton’s lawyer undertook' that his client would stop such Avritings in the future; and the Magistrate then bound the defendant over in the sum of £lO that no future annoying letters avou 1 d he addressed to his brother.
