DORCAS SOCIETY

The final meeting of the above for the year was held yesterday af - ternoon in All Saints’ schoolroom. There were present: Alesdames F. Robinson, Perreau, C. H. Symons, Nicholas, Walton, Aloore, and Revs. Edmondson and Walton (in chair). Apologies Cor absence were received from "Airs. Christie, Airs. Edmondson and Air. Nicholas.

A letter was read from the headmaster of the local District High School, in appreciation of the soup supplied during the winter months to about seventy pupils. He thanked the Society , for organising the work and the residents for supplying the soup.

The meeting' also expressed thanks to all those who contributed, and hoped that next winter there will be still more offering to help. The following were thanked for palreels of clothing for distribution during the winter : —'Alesdames F. Robinson, Nicholas, Walton, Stone, S. Easton, Aloore, Warwick, E. Easton, A. Ross, and several , a ribnymons pa reels. A motion of sympathy was passed' to the Rev. E. AfcDonald in his bereavement.
