Cycling has taken a new lease of life locally. During the week-end a “working bee” carried out good wofik in Victoria Park informing the cycle track preparatory to the holding of a series of sports meet - ings there under the auspices of the Foxton Amateur Athletic Association, while cyclists are losing no •time in getting down to training. Two donations of '5/- each have •been received by the Association for prizes for a race for hoys 16 years and under, which vvill be held on Wednesday week. Another donation of 10/- has also been made to the Association's general fund. It is to be hoped -that there will be a large attendance of the local public in Main Street to-morrow evening to witness the road race.
