BY SCHOOL CHILDREN. In speaking to the pupils of the local District High School on Thursday afternoon Mr. G. A. Troup (Mayor of Wellington) said one of his favourite flowers was the aquilegia, generally designated “granny’s bonnet.” He had pleasure in handing 1 over a sum of money to the Chairman of Committee to be distributed in prize money to the school children for the best collections of aquilegias exhibited by them at the local Horticultural show. The gift was acknowledged with thanks and the money handed over to the Horticultural Society which will carry out the wishes of the donoi\
