YOUNG GIRL’S DEATH.
INQUIRY ADJOURNED FOR
POST MORTEM.
Dunedin, November 22,
An inquest was opened on Jennie, Edwards, aged 30, who died suddenly at 'the hospital on Tuesday. Norman hi a veil Haywaivd, theatre manager, Wanganui, stated that he was deceased’s first cousin. Prior to going to Wanganui in September he was manager of Everybody’s Theatre, Dunedin. Deceased had been pianist at that theatre. At the hospital on Tuesday /.veiling deceased told him she underwent an illegal operation. When witness left Dunedin deceased told him she had reason to believe she might he pregnant. He regarded her as a sister and thought it was that reason she confided in him. He had advised seeing a doctor in order to find out what the trouble was. Deceased did not tell him who was responsible for her condition. There was no suggestion that he had any relations with her. The inquest was adjourned for a post mortem.
