VACANCY IN MINISTRY.
NOT TO BE FILLED YET,
In. view of the impending departure for England of the Hon.) T. M. Wilford, Minister of Justice and Defence, who has been appointed High Commissioner, there is much speculation coneetrning the next appointment to fill the vacancy in the Ministry. . The “Auckland Star” is in a position to state that it is unlikely that any fresh appointment will be made till shortly before the 1930 session of Parliament. Meantime the Hon. T. K. Sidey, Leader of the Legislative Council and AttorneyGeneral, will probably take the portfolio of Justice, aiiS one of the present Ministers will take temporary 'charge of the Defence Dep.Mlinent.
