RUMOUR. CONCERNING SIR HUGH TRENCHARD.
London, November 19
The rumour that Air-Marshal Sir Hugh Trenchard will be GovernorGeneral of NeAV Zealand lias been revived Avith added persistence.
In response to a telephone communication to his residence at Barnet to verify the report it Was stated that Sir Hugh was at home but could not he' disturbed. When the nature, of the inquiry Avas askrd and explained a woman’s voice described it as an impertinence and cut off the conversation. The extraordinary. secrecy appears to have strengthened the force of the rumor. '
