ANNUAL MEETING.
‘The annual meeting of the Foxton Amateur Athletic Association was held last week, presided over by Mr. 11. Hamer (chairman). Also present were Messrs R. Sorbie, F. Robinson, W. Thompson, W, Hussey, W. Brown, C. Procter, J. Barlatt, Pluggcr Robinson, K. Martin, L. King, J. Francis, B. Coughtrey, C. R. Pedersen, Rex Ball, D. Ball, D. R. Barron, E. Robinson, B. Chrystall, B. Malcolm, M. Hartley, J. and G. Aldridge, C. Vickery, F. Wallbutton and the secretary (Mr. L, A. C'ouch).
The election of officers resulted as follows: —

The secretary produced a bal-ance-sheet which disclosed a credit balance of £33. It was decided to take up the matters of improving the track in Victoria Park with a view to holding a series ;of sports meetings in order to raise funds towards laying down a permanent track on Easton Park.
Work was commenced by “bees” to put Victoria Park track in order last week and already members are in training for the five mile road race to be held on Wednesday evening at (i o’clock. Ridjers are reminded that nominations for this event close this evening.

The course will be around the Cemetery block and finishing at the Post Office.
