PAYMENT OF PENSIONS.
* JANUARY REMITTANCES AVAILABLE DECEMBER. 20th. That recipients of old age, widows and other pensions may secure their monthly payments before Christmas, the Hon. W. A. Veitch has arranged for the .January instalments to be paid from December 20th in the ordinary way. Family allowances are paid on the 25th of each month, hut this special (arrangement will not only be more convenient to pensioners, hut will relieve congestion at Post Offices.
