A large mieetiug of Reformers of Rangitikei held at Marten, selected Air. A. Stuart, a well-known farmer, to contest the seat at the next election on account of Air. W. S. Glenn, ex-M.P., not again coming forward.

Air. Alex. Stuart, many years ago was employed in the flaxmilling industry in this district and subsequently toojk up fawning. He has taken a keen interest in local body affairs and is a close student of politics. He is a forceful speaker and a man of strong personality.
